Anniversary celebration: Singing club Umpfenbach inspires with song evening!
A spectacular festival in the sign of music! The singing club Liederquell Umpfenbach celebrated its 100th anniversary with a grandiose song evening in the shooting hall. This anniversary celebration was the crowning high point of a year full of outstanding events. In May the association was awarded the coveted Zelter badge, an award for choirs with over 100 years of tradition and extraordinary commitment to choral music and the folk song. The summer also brought the Filipino top choir "Imusicapella" to Umpfenbach, which caused a sensation on its European tour.
an evening full of singing and surprises
On the last weekend in October, the guests experienced an unforgettable birthday party. The shooting hall shone in autumn shine with sunflowers and colorful balloons. The first chairman Monika Klein opened the evening, and the mixed choir "Happy Hour" under the direction of Juliane Platz delighted with the song "What a gift is a song". A special highlight was the birthday song of the sponsorship unity of Neunkirchen, which was accompanied by the Wartberg Chörle "Feelings". The surprise: a huge, homemade cake, decorated with a picture of the choir!
The celebrations were enriched by various choirs, including the mixed choir "Cantile" from Bürgstadt and the Sängerbund Harmonie from Schneeberg. Each choir presented its songs with humorous moderations and profound wisdom. The evening ended with the soulful community song "An Irish Blessing", which everyone sang together. As a crowning glory, the motto of the evening, "100 years - 100 votes", was celebrated with the powerful canon "Singing is fun". The participants agreed: a birthday that is remembered! And what would such a festival be without a big birthday cake? All guests enjoyed cake pieces and cocktails while they let the magical atmosphere of the evening work on them.
