In the small community of Eschau there was a special evening that paid tribute to the outstanding achievements of its citizens. The first evening of honor was held to promote and celebrate the diverse voluntary commitment. Mayor a.d. Michael Günther, who worked in local politics for over 30 years, was awarded the title "Alt mayor", which underlines his significant role in the community.
ESCHAU is known for the extensive commitment of its citizens in various areas. Not only to recognize this use, but also to develop it, is a central concern of the community. The event offered a forum to honor special people for their services.

At this solemn occasion, numerous citizens were awarded for their commitment. The Citizens' Medal in Gold went to 13 personalities, including:

- Heribert Fried, church carer of the Catholic parish of St. Laurentius Sommerau
- Udo Hirsch from the Hobbach fire brigade
- Frank Kind from the Burgfreunden Wildenstein
- Heinrich and Theodor Pfeifer, both actively in various joint projects
- Elisabeth Maria Rippl, church council of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Eschau
- Peter Schuster, who is involved in several club directors
- Ralf Steiniger, active member of the shooting club Elsava 1908 Eschau
- Michael Völker from the Eschau volunteer fire brigade
- Adolf Weis, football referee with impressive vita
- Heinrich Horlebein, active in the music and fanfare train Eschau.
The citizens' medal in silver was awarded to Bruno Jakob, Nico and Tanja Rein from the Elsava shooting club 1908 Eschau and Bernhard Siegler from the Sommerau volunteer fire brigade. These awards underline the importance of the volunteer in the community and honor the tireless efforts of many volunteers.
In addition, the badge of honor in Gold Frank and Stefan Weinert received for their performance in breeding with pigeons and David Zimmermann in the triathlon. Franziska Völker was awarded for remarkable achievements in youth music, while TSV Eschau, football champion of the A-Class Aschaffenburg, and SG Sommerau-Eichelsbach, football champion of the Miltenberg district class, received the badge of honor in Bronze.
Overall, the first honorary event in Eschau shows not only the recognition of the countless hours of voluntary work, but also the appreciation that the municipality is given for its committed members.
