One -way street on Deininger Berg: Congregations Irschenberg and Fischbachau act!
Irschenberg, Deutschland - The new traffic regulation on Deininger Berg is now in force and goes hand in hand with a one -way regulation. This measure is welcomed by the mayors from Irschenberg and Fischbachau as well as by the residents. The way to Deining can now only be driven in one direction, while cyclists are allowed to continue to drive in both directions, but have to be very caution.
The decision for this regulation came after intensive discussions and was long overdue. Before that, there were considerations to change the one -way street in the opposite direction, which would have been associated with fewer new traffic signs. A traffic count that was carried out in spring showed that around 9,000 vehicles use the route every day, with some speed overruns of over 100 km/h being determined, although there is a speed limit of 30 km/h. This alarming result led to a rethink in the local council.
The decision of the municipalities
The Irschenberg municipal council had ultimately spoken out to block the road downhill, which could come into force without the consent of the neighboring municipal Fischbachau. Mayor Klaus Meixner von Irschenberg said that the direction of the block was basically irrelevant as long as the street is relieved. The safety of the residents and the strain on the street were in the foreground. "The route is not only popular with locals, but is also often offered as an abbreviation by non -local drivers via navigation devices," continues Meixner. This development not only leads to traffic relief, but is also in the sense of the city of Miesbach, since the road runs through its water catchment area.
In an official act, Mayor Meixner and his Fischbachau countermeasuration colleague Stefan Deingruber met to set up the new traffic signs. The municipality of Irschenberg also had additional information signs in the area of Senstsbichl and Bach set up in order to enable drivers.
The detour on Deininger Berg is expected to run the traffic more smooth and safer. Residents of the residents and commuters hope for a noticeable change that could have a positive effect on the daily driving time and the noise level.
