Delays in local heat, LED lighting and school childcare!

In Steinfeld it is bubbling! Mayor Günter Koser and Stephan Kraus from the Lohr administrative community revealed the alarming reasons for the massive delays on several key projects on Wednesday. The planned local heating network, the conversion of street lighting to modern LED technology and school childcare are determined-and all because of bureaucratic hurdles!

The heart of the local heating network, a heating center on the site of the building yard, is in danger. Although Kraus emphasizes that it is a privileged project outdoors, the district office in Karlstadt blocks progress. The authority fears objections from nature conservation and water law and plans a thorough examination. This could make Steinfeld a pilot project for future heating centers in a circle, but the time is pushing!

The information event for the local heating network, originally scheduled for autumn, is postponed to the first quarter of 2025. And that's not all: the conversion of the street lighting to LED, which was decided in August 2022, should be completed by the dark season 2023. But nothing happened! Koser emphasizes that the delay is not due to the partner Bayernwerk or the community, but on the bureaucratic mill that torture themselves.

A digital funding application to the Federal Society Zug was quickly confirmed, but the subsequent written permission only came in March 2023. Now Zug calls for the application to be improved shortly before the deadline! The new application must be submitted by September 24, 2024, otherwise the funding money threatens to seep away. Koser expresses the suspicion that hurdles are deliberately built up to prevent the urgently needed funds.

The municipality could already award orders for the premises in primary school, but the school -regulatory approval of the government of Lower Franconia is still missing. Without this approval there is no funding commitment. The situation is tense and the citizens of Steinfeld are waiting in vain for progress!
