A dramatic football weekend for TuS Röllbach! Last Saturday, the team under coach Florian Christ finally celebrated the first victory - after a dry spell of eight games without success! With a gripping 4: 3 against the DJK Hain, the fans experienced a real roller coaster ride of feelings. The team was back until the 88th minute, but then the big moment of the turn came. Christ, who has only been in office since September 2024, beamed with relief: "Of course it was very liberating!"

The personnel situation was tense because two key players, central defender Tim Thorwart and midfielder Fabian Wolf, were injured. "There were good reasons for our negative run that had nothing to do with me," explains the 41-year-old. Despite the challenges, Christ remained optimistic. "We get better from week to week. Of course, you sometimes wonder if everything is going according to plan, but apparently there is a football god somewhere." And this god had a view on Saturday!

Florian Christ is not only a trainer, but also a passionate marathon runner. He took part in a marathon in Frankfurt at the end of September and even climbed the BaseCamp of Mount Everest. "At some point I noticed that my football talent is not the best," he says with a laugh. His return to Röllbach came quickly: "After the call from Uwe Hagendorf, everything went very quickly." Now, after the first victory, it turns out that the hard work and patience pay off. The fans can hope for more!
