Virtuosos at the piano: top -class concert in Haus Marteau!

On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, a award -winning concert by the master course for piano will take place in the Haus Marteau. The concert focuses on the musical achievements of four internationally recognized pianists and begins at 6 p.m. A period of about 90 minutes is expected.

The varied program includes works by master composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Dutilleux, Liszt and Schubert. Prof. Arnulf von Arnim, the lecturer of the master course, will present the artists and classify the listed works musically. District President Henry Schramm emphasizes the high level of the concert.

The artists and their repertoire

• hayoung Kim Graduate of the Seoul Arts High School with an Excellence Award, currently studying with Prof. Arnulf von Arnim. She will play Beethoven's Sonata D major and Bach's Toccata C minor.
• Changhwan Choi: award winner of the Korea Chopin Competition, Chopins Nocturne des major and Dutilleux '"Choral et variations" will offer.
• Nohyoung Kim: Master graduate from the University of Music, Theater and Media Hanover and scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation. Among other things, she will perform Schubert's Sonata A minor.
• Kang Tae Kim: 27 years old, studied in South Korea and Berlin and is now a student with Prof. von Arnim. He will play Liszt-Werke "Tarantella" and "La Campanella".
