Kulmbach inwested 60,000 euros: New streets for more security!
Kulmbach, Deutschland - In Kulmbach, remarkable progress was recorded at this year's street renovation program. The crossing Friedrich-Schönauer-/Kurt-Schumacher-Straße, which had become a problem area due to massive damage such as potholes and cracks in the asphalt, now shines in new splendor. Mayor Ingo Lehmann said that this heavily frequented intersection near the Paul Gerhard kindergarten needed an urgent renovation. The old road surface was carefully removed to create space for a smooth new asphalt layer, while two defective street inlets and gutter plates were replaced. The city of Kulmbach invested over 60,000 euros for the renewal, such as Wiesentbote reported.
comprehensive renovation measures
But the work was not only limited to this intersection. Other important projects as part of the street renovation program have also been successfully completed. These include the section of the Mangersreuth-Wickenreuth community connection road, the sidewalk section in Lindenstrasse, as well as the connection and bicycle path from Niederndobrach towards Am Martelsberg. The bypass of the Max Hundt School in particular was started during these renovation measures. The city is planning extensive innovations, including the exchange of slide caps and the improvement in street drainage, such as Infranken reported.
The city administration emphasizes that the renovation is not only designed for cost efficiency, but also for speed and effectiveness. This was made possible by the close cooperation with the GSG Guttenberger Straßenbaugesellschaft mbH from Stadtsteinach, which is actively supported by the municipal building yard on site. With the targeted correction of weaknesses in the transport infrastructure, the city of Kulmbach shows that it is proactively working on improving the road conditions.
