Celebrate freedom of expression: creative actions and music in Kaufbeuren!

Schmiedgasse 17, 87600 Kaufbeuren, Deutschland - On October 25, Kaufbeuren experienced an exciting day of action that focused on freedom of expression! The day was a magnet for numerous visitors: inside who came together at the corner point and in the Omnya club. Organized by the Stadtjugendring Kaufbeuren and supported by the Democracy Budget of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs as well as the Bavarian Youth Ring, the event offered a lively platform for art, music and innovative ideas.

In the afternoon, the program started at 3:00 p.m. with a rousing workshop on action art at the corner point. Here the young people learned how to draw attention to important social issues through creative forms of expression such as protest art and installations. The workshop not only offered the participants the opportunity to represent their own concerns, but also to actively initiate changes. A perfect opportunity to develop ideas and discuss together!

musical highlights and exciting projects

The evening in the Club Omnya was a musical festival! The local band Catseye opened with an energetic appearance and created a rousing mood. After that, Style Supreme, an insider tip from the Kaufbeurer hip-hop scene, entered the stage and delighted the audience with his authentic texts and powerful beats. The crowning glory was the duo Kleister, whose unique sound not only fit the day of action musically, but also thematically.

But that wasn't all! In addition to music, the “Wertachstrand” project was also presented - an exciting initiative to create an urban bathing beach on the Wertach in Kaufbeuren. Project initiator Stefanie Giesder presented her vision and received enthusiastic feedback. Citizens are cordially invited to find out about the diverse possibilities of engagement at the corner point at Schmiedgasse 17. The day has impressively showed how narrow freedom of expression and creative commitment are interwoven and how much can be moved together!
