Jolinchenkids: Ten years for healthy children in the daycare center!
Kaufbeuren, Deutschland - A remarkable occasion was recently celebrated in Kaufbeuren: the tenth anniversary of the health program "Jolinchenkids - Fit and Healthy in the daycare". This initiative, which was launched by the AOK, has promoted the health education of children up to six years over a decade. Health expert Martina Zollitsch from the AOK Kaufbeuren -Ostallgäu reported that the program has already accompanied 2840 children from 45 kindergartens and cribs and 376 educators were supported in health education.
The numbers that speak for themselves show that significant successes were also achieved across Bavaria: 1833 kindergartens and cribs took part in the program, from which 126,670 kindergarten children and their parents benefited. This commitment shows how important health education is in early childhood development.
Jolinchen as a motivating figure
The likeable dragon child Jolinchen plays a central role in the program. It playfully encourages the children to move regularly and eat healthy. The focus is not only on physical health, but also the promotion of psychological resistance. "Young people develop a better mental well -being," said Zollitsch.
A birthday song for Jolinchen was composed to celebrate the anniversary. This song is intended to take up the content of "Jolinchenkids" and prepare joy. "We hope that the children can also use the song with their own birthday celebrations. Simply replace the name Jolinchen with the name of the birthday child, and the song will become a personal serenade," continues Zollitsch.
Inclusion of the educators and parents
one of the outstanding features of "Jolinchenkids" is the inclusion of the educators in the program. Special workshops as well as course and advisory services offer help to increase the physical and mental well-being of the specialists. This shows that the health of everyone involved has a high priority.
Another important aspect is the active integration of the parents. "We attach great importance to the fact that the children also implement what was learned at Jolinchenkids in the family environment," said Zollitsch. This integrative approach promotes a healthy living environment for the children and increases the effect of the program beyond the daycare center.
The costs for this valuable program are covered by the AOK Kaufbeuren-Ostallgäu, so that the participating institutions do not incur financial burdens. This support enables the kindergartens to concentrate fully on the health education and promotion of children.
