TSV Karlburg is subject to Ingolstadt II: Bitter defeat despite opportunities!
A bitter afternoon for TSV Karlburg! Despite the appealing performance, they had to give up 1: 4 against FC Ingolstadt II on Saturday. The Ingolstadt residents, who take over the lead of the Bavaria League North with this victory, showed themselves as the most playful team, which was previously guests in Karlburg. Coach Markus Köhler was frustrated by the way the goals were scored, and emphasized the decisive mistakes of his team.
The Karlburg defense had some good moments in the first half, but the mistakes were piling up. Luka Klanac used an inattentive defense and scored 0-1 in the 23rd minute. After the break, the unfortunate 0: 2 followed when a deflected shot went online. Despite an interim glimmer of hope through a penalty by Sebastian Fries (72nd), TSV had no chance at the end. Ingolstadt used the spaces offering and produced the clear final score with two other goals.
opportunities and post shots
The Karlburger also had their chances, but failed due to their own efficiency. Jan Wabnitz met the post, and another shot by Florian Gutheil barely stroked past the goal. Köhler called for more effectiveness from his team, who now has the opportunity to shorten the gap to the relegation place in the next games against weaker opponents. With just six points behind the saving place, there is hope for relegation.
The next challenges are already at the corner: On November 23, SSV Jahn Regensburg II will go, followed by a home game against SV Fortuna Regensburg on November 30th. Time is pushing and TSV Karlburg has to deliver now!
