Solidarity for vaccination refusers: 200 Aichacher demonstrate for freedom!

On Sunday, numerous people came to Aichach to protest against the detention of a 41-year-old soldier from Ingolstadt. Originally, 300 participants were registered for the third demonstration, but ultimately there were around 200 people who gathered at the city square and marched together to the correctional facility (JVA). The soldier had been arrested because, as a member of the Bundeswehr, he had refused to accept the Corona vaccination.

As part of the protest event, Hans-Jörg Raffler from Siegertshofen commented on the situation. He made it clear: "This man did not do anything and sits in prison." Raffler, even unvaccinated, emphasized that the Corona pandemic had caused deep cracks in the social structure and in families. The soldier's arrest not only caused a sensation in public, but also in politics. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) in the Bundestag recently said that he was not aware that a soldier was in prison for vaccination.

protest and solidarity

one of the participants, Dieter Ostermaier from Augsburg, also emphasized his solidarity with what was detained. He himself had been a soldier for over eight years when there were no mandatory vaccinations for military members. In his opinion, modern facts, such as the data published by the RKI, should bring with it a re -evaluation of the situation. "Why does someone have to go to prison when other information is now known?" He asked in his speech.

The march led the demonstrators, who were mostly older, via Theodor-Heuss-Straße to the prison, where some speeches were made. A woman who spoke to the microphone made it clear: "We are not Nazis, we are normal people." The emotional connection of the protesters was clearly felt, especially when someone from the prison window waved a cloth or T-shirt. The participants cheered and waved back.

The case of the soldier not only seems to move the minds of the demonstrators, but continues to cause political discussions. The situation could have long -term effects on the debate about vaccination obligations within the Bundeswehr, which could also influence future government decisions. This demonstration represents a further point of view in a discussion that has long been not completed.
