Grönning: The Dane wants 20 goals and the ascent with Ingolstadt!

The 27-year-old Danish Sebastian Grönning has finally found its place in the starting eleven at FC Ingolstadt! After a long fight for playing time, the center forward has been on the pitch throughout for three games and played 90 minutes at a time - a novelty for him with the Schanzern. With six goals this season, Grönning is not only an important player, but also a hope for the team, especially in view of the injury situation in the squad.

Grönning looks back on a moving career that led him from Denmark via South Korea to Spain. "I didn't want to sit on the bench, that was the reason for my switch to FC Ingolstadt," he explains. His change was worth it: in a memorable 4: 4 against Viktoria Cologne, he scored two goals and thus strengthened his place in the team. Trainer Sabrina Wittmann gave him his trust and that pays off. "I can play at a higher level and have great expectations of myself," said Grönning, who is certain in the current form that he can show even more in the coming weeks.

One goal: 20 goals!

Grönning has great ambitions: "I would like to score 20 goals," he says with a sly smile. He is determined to show his quality constant to lead the team into the 2nd Bundesliga. "I don't want to change, but in football you never know what happens," he adds. The Dane has now also got used to the German language and dares to give interviews in German. His former team -mate Tobias Bech, who is now playing at the GF Aarhus club, who is playing at the GF Aarhus club, will soon visit him in Ingolstadt. Grönning is determined to exceed Bech in the goal statistics and hopes that his services will enable FC Ingolstadt to promote higher leagues.
