Burglaries in Ingolstadt's gastronomy: Police are looking for witnesses!

Last weekend there were several burglaries in Ingolstadt, which were directed against restaurants and a hairdressing salon. The local police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the suspects or the acts. The criminal police are currently investigating whether there is a connection between the incidents.

The first burglary took place on Saturday between 9 p.m. and Sunday 11.30 a.m. Unknown perpetrators pried open the glass door of a café on Pfarrgasse and stole cash from a broken cash register. The loot amounted to an amount in the low three-digit euro range.

Another break-in into an Indian restaurant

A little later, between Saturday evening 11 p.m. and Sunday noon, the burglars broke into an Indian restaurant on Munich Strasse. A metal door was broken open and the premises ransacked. The perpetrators stole cash and some kitchen utensils that had a total value of around 4,000 euros. The property damage incurred is estimated at around 500 euros.

In the early morning on Sunday, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., unknowns came to another restaurant on Dollstrasse. According to initial knowledge, nothing was stolen in this case. But the perpetrators then did not stop at a neighboring hairdressing salon: they destroyed the glass front door and searched for valuables inside, but found only a few coins.

The police asks everyone who has made observations or can provide information on the incidents to report on 0841/93430. The clarification of these burglaries has top priority for the authorities, and important information from the population could be crucial.
