Austria's ski jumpers celebrate double victory in the Epiphany jumping!

The Austrian ski jumper clearly dominated the qualification on Sunday at the Epiphany jumping in Bischofshofen. The tour leader Stefan Kraft jumped to an impressive 142 meters and secured the double victory in front of Maximilian Ortner. Daniel Tschofenig and Jan Hörl also made it in the top 6, with all eleven Austrian jumper being able to move into the knockout competition of the top 50. In front of 4,900 enthusiastic fans showed strength that he is under little pressure as a former tour winner, and explained: "This definitely strengthens the chest. If it works, it works."

On Monday the final starts at 4:30 p.m. in which strength is only 0.6 points ahead of Hörl. Tschofenig is closely in the race with only 1.3 points behind. The international competition already has more than 20 points behind the top, while the Swiss Gregor Deschwanden completed the qualification with 142 points. The previous competitions in Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck confirmed the dominance of the Austrian jumper. The last German victory in Bischofshofen has been 23 years ago, which makes the challenge for the German team all the greater.
