Criticism of merger: Weilheimer ILS employees warn of risks!

Weilheim, Deutschland - The planned merger of the integrated control centers (ILS) Oberland and Fürstenfeldbruck causes excitement! The ILS employees raise the alarm and warn of "considerable risks for the security of our citizens and the efficiency of the rescue chain in our region". The move to Maisach and the merger by 2026 could have catastrophic consequences, including delayed help and communication problems. Alexander Roth, spokesman for ILS Oberland, expresses great concerns: "This rushed merger could endanger security!"

Criticism of the merger: Local competence in danger

The ILS Oberland employees emphasize that the ILS Fürstenfeldbruck has little experience with the special challenges of the region. "The mountains, valleys and dense forests require a profound knowledge of local conditions," explains Roth. The proven cooperation with local emergency services could seriously endanger the merger. Roth warns: "Proven operational concepts may have to be completely revised, which could lead to errors and delays." In addition, he fears that long travel paths to Maisach could move many employees to terminate what would cost valuable know-how.

The ILS employees also criticize that the plans ignore the high number of tourists in the region. With 3.6 million overnight guests and millions of day guests, the region is heavily frequented. Roth sees the schedule for the merger as unrealistic and refers to other control centers that plan for its mergers for at least five years. Technical challenges, such as the changeover of the fire alarm systems, could also lead to massive problems. "The merger becomes more expensive than a new location," warns Roth and demands a detailed analysis of the possible consequences.
