Election in Mauth-Finsterau: Heiner Kilger hopes for high participation!

On Sunday, history is written in Mauth-Finsterau (Freyung district)! Citizens are called up to choose their new mayor - even though only one candidate is in the race!

Heiner Kilger from the CSU is the only candidate for the mayor's office and sincerely hopes for a high turnout. In a conversation with the PNP, he expressed his concern about widespread misunderstandings. Some citizens faithfully believe that they only have to go to election if they are dissatisfied with kilies. "This is absolutely not right!" He emphasizes and appeals to everyone to give their vote to support the democratic choice.

voting locations and ballot papers

The voters can choose between two polling stations: the Bürgersaal in Finsterau and the parish hall in Mauth. Both are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A total of around 1800 citizens are entitled to vote. In the evening, the results are compiled in the town hall. An exciting moment for the community!

An interesting aspect of choice: If only one candidate is available, voters can either tick the pre -printed name or enter another name handwritten. Frederik Weinert, press spokesman for the FRG district, explains that a special line is intended on the ballot. In order to correctly assign the voice, the voters must indicate their family names, first names as well as work or stand. Anyone who receives more than half of the valid voices is chosen!
