In the Freising district, despite strict austerity measures, a strong sign is set for the youth! The district youth ring (KJR) remains financially stable and is planning a variety of exciting events for the coming year. At the autumn assembly in walls it was announced that the youth associations are still available 64,000 euros to set up a varied program.
The list of planned activities is impressive: from excursions to the skyline park to a forest experience day to information evenings on topics such as being queer, loneliness and mental health-the young people can look forward to an exciting year! Training, clothing exchange parties, an outdoor cooking course and even a crime dinner are also on the program. A special highlight is the youth trip to France for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 in 2024.
political education and commitment
The KJR also relies on political education! The proven exchange and networking meetings for students: inside on topics such as human dignity, tolerance and democracy are continued. With regard to the upcoming Bundestag elections, an information campaign for first voters is planned, while the local elections in Bavaria 2026 are also the focus. Workshops on artificial intelligence and nature and climate protection projects complete the offer.
Another highlight of the meeting was the election of the new board. Ursula Delgado remains chair, supported by Stephanie Fuß as a deputy. The assessors come from various youth associations and bring a breath of fresh air to the organization. In addition, new members were elected for the youth district council, which are represented by the interests of their age group. The KJR Freising remains an indispensable partner in youth work and is ready to accept new challenges with a dedicated team!
