Freising celebrates the 42nd literary autumn: readings and art up close!

Freising, Deutschland - A literary festival for the region! The Freising "Literary Autumn" returns for the 42nd time in November and promises an exciting program full of readings and a special picture book exhibition. This year the Italian illustrator Simona Mulazzani will be the focus, whose works have conquered the hearts of small and large readers. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, November 7, at 7 p.m. in the old prison, Brennergasse 1 - an event that should not be missed!

The first reading starts on Tuesday, November 12, at 8 p.m. in the Camerloher Gymnasium, Wippenhauser Straße 51. The talented German writer Slata Roschal will present her celebrated debut novel "153 Forms of November". The story revolves around the complex search for identity of a young woman who is torn between different cultures and faiths. A book that was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2022 and stimulates thought!

Current youth books in the spotlight

On Wednesday, November 13th, at 6 p.m., the youth novel "No Alternative" by Dirk Reinhardt in the youth center, Kölblstraße 2, will be presented. The gripping narrative from the perspective of two young people addresses climate protection and radical protests by a fictional group - a highly topical topic that affects the young generation. Afterwards, on Friday, November 15, at 8 p.m., the aspiring author Nora Schramm will read in the old prison. Her debut novel "Hohle Rooms" illuminates the challenges of a young artist who deals with the fragility of her family conditions.

The literary spectacle continues on Thursday, November 21, at 7.30 p.m. at Books, Obere Hauptstraße 45, with Martina Bogdahn, who tells of her youth in her youth in her book "Mühlensommer". The last highlight will take place on Friday, November 29, at 6 p.m. in the Junkers Café, Fischergasse 4, when the journalist Anja Reum bowl presents her youth book "About the roofs of Jerusalem". Here the history of the Middle East conflict is told exciting and personally.
