festive highlights
On Saturday, October 26th, at 5 p.m., visitors will be enchanted by the sounds of the large Riffian music band in the pavilion of the music school. If you want to experience even more solemn mood on Sunday, October 27, you can enjoy the festive service in the Mariendom at 10.30 a.m. with Auxiliary Bishop Wolfgang Bischof and musical accompaniment. These impressive festivities are the crowning glory of the partnership weekends between Freising and Kuens, which came up with exhibitions, concerts and culinary highlights. The two cities combine a centuries -old friendship; The St. Korbinian followed a vision in 720 and settled in the region after a conflict with Duke Grimoald. Despite the historical upheavals and the end of the connection to the Hochstift Freising in 1802, the deeply rooted relationship between Freising and Kuens is blooming to this day!
