Music and joy: Nursing Center Ebermannstadt experiences unforgettable concert!

A refreshing musical performance caused radiant faces and good mood among the residents in the care center of the Forchheim - Franconian Switzerland. The Musikverein Forchheim-Buckenhofen brought joy and variety to the everyday life of the seniors with a powerful space concert in the light-flooded atrium.

With open doors and an inviting smile, 98-year-old Kathinka Ott could not help but clap the hands. "I used to sing in the church choir myself," she says with a shine in her eyes. This illustrates the nostalgic memories that can cause music. The conductor of the brass band, Andreas Friesner, was ready with a baton and asked those present: "Now we are playing the Ravanello march. They are happy to clap!" The enthusiasm was contagious and the seniors did not miss the opportunity to follow the clock.

Making music together and singing

The joy of the residents was noticeable throughout the concert. In other pieces of music, the seniors were able to actively support the "Sound Fusion" wind orchestra. Clapping, swaying and singing along were the order of the day. The faces of the old and young at heart shone in time for Evergreens like the "bird wedding". These melodies, which have often survived many generations, were a real catchy tune and aroused memories of better times.

gitta Lauger took over the microphone as a moderator to loosen up the performance with poems and stories. "We are always looking for performance and like to play for our seniors in the region," explained the head of the brass band. At a time when personal visits and contact are so important, many appreciate the commitment of music clubs that take care of the well -being of their older fellow citizens.

Another face behind the successful event was Andrea Schlegel, the head of the nursing center. With a warm smile, she said: "With events like this Sunday concert, we want to make the everyday life of our seniors in the care center as varied and eventful as possible." Such concerts not only offer entertainment, but are also a welcome change in everyday monotonous care.

The decision to organize such events is clear and could not be more important. They promote well -being and social interaction of the residents, who are often isolated in their own rooms. For the musicians, it is not only an opportunity to perform, but also a way to exercise a positive impact on the community and to put a smile on people in the face.
