As part of a month meeting on October 7, 2024, there was a special highlight: Benjamin Cortus, the former referee of the first Bundesliga and now Video Assistant Referee, visited the event and impressed those present with his passion for the referee job. In addition to his work in the video assist system, Cortus is active as a youth coach and has paved prospective referees by motivating them to step into the footsteps of his experience.

The meetings were very interested in because numerous new referees who were inspired by Cortus were present for the first time. Luca Fritsch, the district's teaching attendant, had previously collected questions from the referees who were answered during a lively interview by Cortus. With his humorous style and open answers, he ensured a pleasant atmosphere that made it easier for the young referees to express their concerns and questions.
