Freising, Deutschland - The nature and culture of the north of Munich are in the focus of a newly published hiking guide who presents numerous excursion destinations in the Freising, Erding and Moosburg region. In the lovingly designed book "Hiking in and around Freising, Erding & Moosburg/Isar" by Cornelia "Conny" Fuchs and Dieter "Jonny" Herrmann, the readers are offered a wealth of circular hiking trails and exact tour descriptions, which have the often underestimated surrounding area of Munich discovered. It is the first hiking guide for this region, which presents varied routes of 4 to 20 kilometers, e.g. the path around the Freising Wieskirche, which offers a wonderful 11.5 km route through nature. The origin of this guide is evaluated by the evening newspaper as an important step to promote the tourist opportunities in the north of Munich and give nature lovers new suggestions while you can enjoy the silent beauty of the region.

In the political events of the city of Freising, the planned cycle path between Hallbergmooser Straße and Freisinger Allee ensures excitement. The path is in poor condition and often unusable due to puddles and potholes, which excludes it from the city as part of the everyday cycle route network, as the mobility manager Dominik Fuchs explained in a construction committee meeting. The city in cooperation with Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) is planning a renovation of the path, which should cost an estimated 400,000 euros. The financing is partially taken over by government support programs, which the city should have voted happily. But the Greens, surprised by the discussion, rejected the cooperation and referred to higher priorities in the Radescheid. Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher reacted in a surprise to the negative voices and emphasized teamwork as the key to better bike paths in Freising.
The different views underline the tensions within Freising politics, while the efforts to attract attractive hiking routes and cycle paths in the region are continued.
