Caution, diversion! Airport tangents completely closed from October 14th

road users who regularly use the airport tangent between Markt Schwaben and Ottenhofen will have to expect restrictions in the next two weeks. From October 14th, the roadway of the state road 2580 will be renovated, which leads to a complete block. This measure could mean considerable inconvenience for commuters and traffic users who are used to this route.

The State Building Office Freising has already taken the necessary steps to inform those affected about the diversions. Traffic is derived at the Markt Schwaben junction and led to Markt Schwaben via Staatsstraße 2332. From there it continues via state road 2080 to Ottenhofen and via the ED 5 back to the Beneuching/Ottenhofen junction. The detour in the opposite direction takes place accordingly.

This renovation is the first major measure as part of a contract that was concluded as a public-private partnership (ÖPP) in 2010. In this project, not only the construction work was carried out, but also a commitment of the then contractor to maintain the road for over 25 years. This means that regular maintenance work must be contractually carried out in the intended cycle. The current renovation is therefore an important step in the context of this agreement.

The building authority asks the road users to pay attention to the signposted diversions and to follow the instructions of the traffic routing. An interesting addition to these construction measures is that the weather conditions can flow into the construction time planning. Bad weather phases could lead to adjustments in construction times, which could also influence the implementation of the work.

The State Building Authority Freising is doing everything possible to keep traffic impairments as low as possible. In a recently published press release, thank you in advance for understanding and patience from the citizens during the construction period. The authority thus shows a certain degree of empathy for the challenges that can arise from such construction work.
