Ebersberg is progressing: Crowdfunding for climate protection and education!
The Initiative Action Future+ launches a promising crowdfunding to support two important projects in the field of climate protection: an innovative carbon capture and storage research project and an exciting climatic education project in Ebersberg. In the alliance with the Energy Agency Ebersberg-Munich, the districts of Munich and Ebersberg set a strong sign of climate protection to actively involve citizens, companies and organizations in the financing of these projects, as on
The first project focuses on the TUM Carbon Removal Initiative e.V., which wants to build a pilot plant for direct air separation (DACCS). This technology filters CO2 directly from the air and stores it as a dry ice, which provides valuable data to optimize the method. In order to implement the implementation of this pilot plant, financing of 98,400 euros is sought. The relevance of this technology is also underlined by the world climate, which emphasizes the importance of CO2 separation for the achievement of the 1.5 degree target. At the same time, another crowdfunding project is launched that is aimed at younger generations. In cooperation with the Protection Association of Deutscher Wald, Landesverband Bayern e. V. (SDW), the educational project "with lessons in the forest for ecological handprint" is realized. Here children learn the relationships between nature and climate protection in a playful way in specially created school forests. The financing of 39,990 euros is intended to cover both the organization and the provision of materials for forest lessons. This enables the children to actively participate in sustainable measures and to develop awareness of climate protection.
