Large duck parade in Donauwörth: autumn market inspires with racing!

At the last autumn market in Donauwörth, real fun was offered for young and old: a spectacular racing of the ducks. Originally planned for the island festival in May, the small, yellow squeaky ducks had to cancel due to heavy rain. But on October 12th, at the autumn market, the time had finally come. Under the motto "With fun doing good", around 400 ducks fought for the coveted prices, and the interest was great.

The event took place at the Sebastian Franck Bridge, where the colorful ducks were let into the water. As part of this benefit campaign, organized by the Evangelical Community Donauwörth, the focus was not only on fun, but also the good work. The Donauwörth Water Wacht had the task of determining the 42 winning ducks and fishing all other ducks from the Wörnitz again. This is made possible to use the ducks again and not to load the environment with plastic.

Following the race, the winning numbers in the marquee of the Kiwanis Oktoberfest were announced. The main prize, a children's bike sponsored by Zweirad Uhl, found a happy winner among those present. The joy was great when the lucky youngster was able to take his new bike home immediately.

This event not only ensured entertainment, but also strengthened the sense of community and contributed to the support of charitable purposes. The organizers have thus launched a small but fine event that will certainly leave a lasting impression among the participants.
