Bridges of history: Heinrich Trapp opens the home book

Altdlandrat Heinrich Trapp presented his new book "Bridges into the past" on Monday, which addresses the history of Isarbrücken in the district of Dingolfing-Landau. During the book presentation, which took place in the presence of District Administrator Werner Bumeder and Walter Strohmaier, the CEO of the Sparkasse Niederbayern-Mitte, emphasized Trapp that bridges are not only structures, but also tell significant history and connections between people. The 200 -page work documents the fate of the bridges and was enabled by the Sparkasse with a funding of 6,300 euros. Trapp, the bridge in Dingolfing born in 1923 as an example, not only described technical details in his book, but also moving stories of destruction and reconstruction.

Timely publication before Christmas is no coincidence, because Trapp is happy when the book can be found on the domestic shelves. If you want to learn more about the historic bridges, you should go on the journey of discovery along the Isar, where information steles were built at 13 locations. "Every bridge tells its own story," emphasizes Trapp and refers to the cultural importance of this heritage, which District Administrator Bumeder also praised, by saying: "Heinrich Trapp not only built new bridges, but also built symbolic bridges between people, ideas and generations."

Another highlight that is closely related to the bridges is the new Christmas table of the Sparkasse Niederbayern-Mitte, which depicts the Isarbrücken of Landau and Dingolfing. Director Robert Elsberger was enthusiastic about the appealing motif, which not only underlines the beauty of the buildings, but also their historical importance. Heinrich Trapp, who at the time renewed all Isarbrücken and made her story alive, announced that the first bridge in Dingolfing was built in 1923. The Christmas table is very popular in the run -up to Christmas and is sold, with part of the proceeds to benefit social purposes.

With the Taler, the Sparkasse celebrates the 40th anniversary of this tradition, and the bridge is one of the central symbols for the connection between people and places. Mayor Matthias Kohlmayer from Landau emphasized that the bridge not only represents an important traffic artery, but is also emotionally standing for the citizens of the district. The coin is now available in the branches, where you can order interested parties. For collectors and friends of regional history, both events - the book publication and the Christmas table - are a special opportunity to celebrate the connection to home.
