6,000 euros for social projects: support for hospice and flood victims!
An impressive sign of solidarity: the outpatient hospice service and the Alzheimer's Society in the Dillingen district as well as the flood-damaged people in Gundelfingen receive a total of 6,000 euros in donations! These generous grants were presented by District Administrator Markus Müller by Thorsten Häußer, the chairman of the works council of the ENBW ODR, and team leader Rainer Pfeiffer. The donations come from the "Seeing and helping" campaign that has been running since 2003, which supports around 25 social projects in the region every year.
The donation of 2,000 euros for the outpatient hospice and palliative advisory service St. Elisabeth is used to finance important training courses for volunteers. These committed helpers stand by people in the last phase of life and enable them to die in a familiar environment. The Alzheimer Society, which has been active for a decade, also receives 2,000 euros to expand its valuable care offers for dementia-changed people and their relatives. Here, volunteers do an invaluable service by offering support for the hour and promoting exchange at monthly meetings.
flood -damaged help get urgently needed help
Another part of the donation, also 2,000 euros, goes to the flood -damaged people in the Gundelfingen area. In June, numerous households and social institutions were hard hit, including the forest kindergarten, the tipi of which was completely destroyed. Mayor Dieter Nägele gratefully accepted the donation and emphasized the urgency of this support at a time when many people need help.
The annual fundraising campaign has established itself as a fixed tradition, and Thorsten Häußer is proud of the willingness of his colleagues to support social institutions with such generous amounts. Last year, donations of money and the donation of over -working hours of over 450 employees came together around 43,000 euros, which now benefit numerous social projects. District Administrator Markus Müller and Mayor Dieter Nägele were pleased with the remarkable social commitment and support that these institutions receive.
