SC Eintracht Freising, who is currently taking second place in the district league in Upper Bavaria North with 29 points, meets the Eichstätt team, which after a difficult start to the season and is 11th. The Freisinger were impressive in the past part and impressively beat the bottom light SpVgg Feldmoching with 7: 0.
VfB coach Max Dörfler recognizes the high quality of the opponent and notes that the league is in a way a two-class society. "You definitely notice a difference. The table reflects the performance of the teams and you can already see that the top 5 is much better," says Dörfler.
current form and challenges
Despite the latest setbacks, Dörfler tries to remain optimistic. After a clear 0: 5 defeat against the third-placed ASV Dachau, the Eichstätter team is required to stabilize. However, Dörfler is aware that the path in front of them is rocky. "We are preparing for a hard relegation battle until the end of the season," he explains. Nevertheless, he hopes to be able to collect points against a top team: "We start with the aim of scoring. And maybe we will be a surprise."
Dörfler refers to a positive example from the past when his team achieved a strong 4-2 victory in the meeting with TSV Gaimersheim, the fourth place. He emphasizes that such services are possible if the team has a "good day", and a portion of the game is required. "We have to be ready to shine in the crucial moments," he adds.
The personnel situation in the team is tense. Dörfler reports on injuries and sick reports, which has affected the participation in training. "During the training week, the situation looked different again. Only between ten and 14 men attended the two training sessions," he explains what makes preparation for the coming game difficult. A final decision on the list will probably not be made until the match day.
The match against SC Eintracht Freising is not only a test for the Eichstätter, but could also have far -reaching consequences for the table. A point gain would not only increase the distance to the relegation zone, but also strengthen self -confidence. The next 90 minutes will be significant for the team to change the direction in this challenging season. The focus is on getting the maximum out of the given possibilities and further asserting yourself in an already difficult league.
