TuS Fürstenfeldbruck II fights in vain against relegation specters!

In a dramatic competition that spanned the nerves of the spectators to tear, the table tennis team of TuS Fürstenfeldbruck II had to take a bitter defeat against the competition from Dachau and Neckarsulm in the 3rd Bundesliga at the weekend. With the descent ghost on the neck and only one point from two games, the Bruckers are now stirred in the penultimate place in the table.

The challenge against local rival TSV Dachau 1865 II began on Saturday. Although the double team Hana Patseyeva and Janine Hanslick put on a remarkable comeback after a 1-2 set deficit and got the only honor point, the team was unable to convince. The other games were clearly lost, including a narrow defeat by Hanslick against the promising talent Naomi Pranjkovic - a gripping duel that only ended in the last set with 9:11. The result: a humiliating 1: 6, which the Bruckers are pushing into a dark corner of the table.

tension against Neckarsulm

The young team was challenged again on Sunday, this time against the Su Neckarsulm. After a balanced double game it was 1: 1, but the tension rose with every sentence. Hana Patseyeva shone with a narrow 11: 9 victory over Minh-Thao Nguyen, while Steffi Felbermeier shone in gripping ball changes despite a 1: 3 final score. When Lea-Marie Schultz won the decisive point against Thi Minh Thu Nguyen, a surprising point win seemed tangible. But the joy lasted briefly: after a number of narrow defeats, the match finally went 6: 4 to the guests from Neckarsulm.

The next few days will be crucial for the TuS team, which will have to compete at Rapid Chemnitz on Saturday at 6 p.m. Another loss could only strengthen relegation concerns and plunge the Bruckers into an even deeper crisis. The clock ticks and the pressure is growing!
