SVG Lüneburg starts in hot volleyball week against Dachau!

The volleyball season picks up speed! On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Bundesliga club SVG Lüneburg is expecting ASV Dachau in a highly awaited home game. The Lüneburgers are standing an intensive week ago, in which they may have to play two games a week until Christmas. "We have always managed it well so far, but this rhythm is new to our college boys," explains coach Stefan Hübner.

An advantage for the SVG: The sporting and organizational challenges are manageable this week. The third in the table goes into the game against Dachau as a clear favorite and also has the chance on Saturday to survive in the DVV Cup against the second division team TuS Kriftel. However, Hübner knows that the upcoming games in the Champions League and against top teams in the Bundesliga are a completely different league. "Then there is a completely different level," he warns.

injury problems at Dachau

The SVG is fit and ready while Dachau has to deal with problems. Ex-Lüneburger Matt Slivinski is missing due to a shoulder injury, and other players could not travel for professional reasons. Despite these challenges, the Upper Bavaria hope for better performance than in the last meeting when they lost 0: 3 against the SVG in just one hour. The top scorer of the ASV, Simon Gallas, leads the team, but the Lüneburgers are optimistic to secure the three points.

With a win, the SVG could advance to second place in the table, only two points behind the leader from Berlin. Hübner, however, remains focused on the further development of his team. "We have to become even more precise in the attack situations," he emphasizes, in order to be able to insist on an international level. In addition, the game is raised for the "day of volunteering", in which various organizations from the district were invited to honor the important work of the volunteers.
