At Marienplatz in Dachau, the contemplative pre -Christmas period started! At fresh five degrees, an impressive fir was set up in the early morning, which will soon shine in full light gloss. The festive atmosphere is tangible, because on Monday, November 25th, the Christkindlmarkt will open - and the magnificent tree is decorated with 3,000 sparkling candles!

The proud fir comes from the municipality of Antdorf, which lies between Garmisch and Penzberg. A true masterpiece of nature that catches the eye with a height of 23.30 meters! In an impressive teamwork from the local fire brigade and the Munich professional fire brigade, the tree was set up in a two -hour campaign. After his nightly arrival on a low loader, the tree is now safely in a two -meter -deep hole - ready to delight the hearts of all locals and visitors.
