Petershausen, Deutschland - The energy orgorum Petershausen, launched in 2013, has experienced its final end! At a hastily convened annual meeting, the remaining eight members in the sports restaurant decided to dissolve the association. The reason? "The goals defined in our statutes cannot be reached foreseen," says Herwig Feichtinger, who has already managed the forum from the start.

The roots of the energy orgorum are in a civil project in 2011 and 2012, which developed a comprehensive climate management for Petershausen. Many citizens were involved in several working groups, supported by the Agenda 21 initiative at that time. But in recent years, the commitment seems to have to go: the association has no longer been integrated into important land use planning and lost its status as a "provider of public issues". Opinions are now treated like those of private individuals, and information events have long since failed to materialize. "We never really recovered from the corona -related break," says Feichtinger Bitter.

Originally, the energy orgorum was supposed to bundle and coordinate citizen participation - but that failed. There used to be lectures, borrowing a thermal imaging camera and even a cargo bike. Now it is feared that the valuable expertise of the members will also be lost, since the idea of continuing the association as an online forum for energy issues was rejected. The remaining club balance flows into a non -profit purpose, and the cargo bike is handed over to another club.

Despite the resolution, there is hope for the founders: "We do not want to fully set the content work. The topic of energy is more current than ever," explains Feichtinger. Future lectures could take place under the roof of the Agenda 21 to bundle the forces and ensure that the important questions about the energy future do not run in the sand!
