Dachau: Property tax increases drastically - tenants and owners are affected!

Dachau, Deutschland - In Dachau, owners of agricultural areas, property owners and tenants are faced with a shocking tax increase! The city has decided to drastically increase the lifting rates of property tax. From the coming year, the rate for property tax A, which affects agricultural areas, will be increased from 320 to 380 percentage points. Property tax B, which applies to built -up and undeveloped properties, is even more violent: here the rate of lifting increases by a whopping 80 points to 430 percent!

This drastic adaptation is the result of a lengthy property tax reform that was necessary according to a judgment of the Federal Constitutional Court. The old calculation method was classified as unconstitutional, and now the municipalities have to switch to a new basis. In Bavaria, a surface model is implemented that supports the calculation on the area of the plots and buildings, regardless of their value. This leads to a confusing situation in which some taxpayers have to pay more and others less than before.

Who pays how much?

The amount of payments depends heavily on the place of residence, since the municipalities set the lifting rates. This decision has far -reaching consequences, because landlords can transfer the property tax to the tenants. The city is under pressure to send the tax notices in good time before the first advance payment date on February 15. But the municipalities are in the dark: important data from the tax offices are missing, which makes the situation even more complicated. Mayor Florian Hartmann (SPD) described the situation as a "look into the glass ball".

The administration proposed a rate of 430 for property tax B, while some city councilors favored an increase to 420 points. Ultimately, however, the majority of the SPD, the Greens and alliance prevailed. The discussion about the amount of the buffer that the tax offices recommend remains controversial. The uncertainty about the exact calculation bases ensures nervousness among the citizens of Dachau!
