Weilheim gymnasts celebrate ascent to Oberliga 2!

Coburg, Deutschland - A dramatic competition for the whereabouts in the Oberliga 2 of the Bavarian gymnastics league recently took place in Coburg, and the gymnasts of TSV Weilheim passed with flying colors! With a nerve -wracking appearance, the athletes secured first place and are also allowed to compete in the second highest Bavarian gymnastics class in 2025. The tension was tangible when the gymnasts set off for the final event without knowing exactly what they should expect from the competition. But their determination and the flawless performances paid off!

The Weilheimers shone with a total number of points of 115.550 and only prevailed from a 0.05 point lead against TSV Dachau. "The joy was huge," cheered the coaches when the result was determined. The distances to the other teams were clear: TSV Friedberg landed with 111,450 points and TSV Jetzendorf with 102,450 points far behind the Weilheimers. A truly gripping race for first place!

The six talented gymnasts from Weilheim showed all their skills on the four devices. They achieved the best ratings of the entire competition, especially on the uneven bars and on the ground. Elsa Schönherr, who gave it on all devices, secured first place in the individual ranking with 38.45 points. Isabell Ulmer also shone with 37.85 points and fourth place. The team was completed by Laura de Biasio, Lilly Ochsenkühn, Larissa Ulmer and the young Elisa Peischer, who was the best of the day at the uneven bars with 8,350 points. A truly impressive appearance that captivated the audience!
