St. Wendel celebrates 200 years of Duchess Luise with exciting city tour!
St. Wendel, Deutschland - A historical anniversary is celebrated in St. Wendel! Exactly 200 years ago, in 1824, Duchess Luise of Saxony-Coburg-Saalfeld found a new home in this charming Saarland city after her separation from Ernst I of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha. In order to appreciate this significant event, the city invites you to a special city tour on Friday, November 15, which reveals the fascinating facets of the Duchess's life.
The city tour begins at 2 p.m. in front of the Evangelical Church in St. Wendel and promises exciting insights into the historical conditions of that time. History friends and interested parties can look forward to a journey into the past who finds a crowning glory with the animated film "Duchess Luise" by artist Lydia Kaminski. But be careful! The number of participants is limited and prior registration is essential.
