WBV urgently is looking for the new board: Who stands for election?
The WBV (forest owner association) is under pressure to find a new candidate for the annual general meeting next year. Franz Schwab as 2nd board member, Johann Angerer as secretary, Herbert Röckenwagner as auditors and Bernhard Maierhofer as an assessor. The amendment to the statutes reduced the number of board members from seven to five, which expands the decision -making powers, especially with regard to remuneration.
Forest director Wolfgang Madl reported on changes in the responsibilities of the forest areas, with some municipalities being assigned to new areas. The municipality of Inzell in particular now receives the Bad Reichenhall area, while the Wonneberg district around Wonneberg was facilitated. CEO Tobias Glück presented a positive balance: a total of 2,197 members and 30,813 solid meters of wood were marketed, which is above the necessary funding limit. These numbers prove the strong wood demand and the financial success of the WBV, which was completed with a profit in the middle five-digit range.
experienced voices such as those of the former Aelf manager Alfons Leitenbacher denounced the challenges that are associated with climate change and an increased social interest in forest maintenance. Because despite the wooden boom, the forest owner remains responsibility for the forest, who must stand for its health and management. The future of the forest is on the brink, and each one is required to become active. Further details are to be found here .
