The Roßfeld panorama road-a place of longing for tuning fans and a danger to road traffic! Again and again the picturesque route creates serious accidents that are accompanied by booming engines and risky driving behavior. "Self -overestimation, ruthless driving and drifting" - said the alarming comment by Stefan Scharf, first police chief commissioner of the Berchtesgaden police inspection. The combination of wet, happy driving behavior and the winding route has led to a worrying increase in the number of accidents, under which both car and motorcyclists were seriously injured.

The last major controls covered the full extent of the problems: Hardly any of the controlled people were without complaints! Excessive speeds, missing vehicle documents and inadmissible modifications shaped the picture. A particularly tragic incident last summer cost a drifter life and seriously injured two children. Since then, an accident series on the Roßfeld - the police know that above all the overestimation of their own driving skills and inadequate safety precautions are the main causes.

The call of the Poser scene

The Poser scene has long since gathered around this street! On platforms like Instagram, the route is celebrated as "simply cool" while the police watch tears in their eyes. Numerous videos that show risky driving maneuvers have already been submitted and show how the Posers let off steam with their tuned vehicles. Despite cycling cases and police controls, the scene cannot be broken. The Posers are well networked and always know where the police are!

A speed limit of 70 km/h has already been introduced - but that doesn't seem to impress the drifts! The chief of police calls for further measures such as traffic calming thresholds, which, however, could prove impractical, especially for deep cars. While innocent day trippers enjoy the breathtaking view, the speeders enjoy the thrill. "We keep checking there," promises Stefan Scharf, but that remains a race against the windmills of the preferences of these tongs.
