Career opportunities after the Bundeswehr: Professional information day in Bad Reichenhall

Almost 200 soldiers flocked to the officers' home in Bad Reichenhall for a professional information day that offered a unique opportunity to get into conversation with 25 employers. Among the exhibitors were not only regional companies, but also well -known Germany -wide employers such as Rheinmetall and the federal police. This event was organized in close cooperation between the Bundeswehr vocational development service (BFD), the Agency for Labor and the Berchtesgadener Land (BGLW) Economic Service.

The leap into civilian life

The professional information day has a clear goal: soldiers who are about to leave the Bundeswehr should be shown the best opportunities for starting into civil professional life. The event not only offers a framework for chatting with attractive employers and making valuable contacts, but also makes it clear that the special skills and military discipline of soldiers are of great interest for many companies. The BFD gives the soldiers support in order to adapt to the requirements of the labor market by training or studying - the care of the Bundeswehr does not end with the service.

The responsible persons were extremely satisfied at the opening, which was led by Colonel Holger Peterat, the commander of the mountain hunting brigade 23. District Administrator Bernhard Kern and Mayor Dr. Christoph Lung agreed: This event is a profit for everyone involved. Kern emphasized that the region benefits from the specialists who trained the Bundeswehr and who decide to stay in the Berchtesgadener Land even after their service. A clear advantage for the local economy!
