Information evening about the energy transition: Bad Reichenhall informs citizens!
The city of Bad Reichenhall and Bayerische Landeskraftwerke GmbH are preparing for an important initiative to promote renewable energies. They invite the citizens to an information evening on Thursday, October 24, at 6 p.m. to the Reichenhall Museum. This happens as part of an early dialogue before the official public participation begins. According to the project providers, it is important to them to include the residents in the planning of a new hydropower plant on the Nonner ramp.
In the invitation, Stadtwerke Bad Reichenhall explain the urgency of a sustainable energy future: "The energy transition towards a renewable, CO2-free power supply is a century task for everyone." The planned project includes the use of the existing update on the Nonner ramp for electricity generation. The construction of a fish -compatible hydropower plant is planned, which should be equipped with two movable turbines. The performance of 1.04 megawatts will generate a significant amount of renewable electricity.
power plant for the future
The annual generation of the new power plant is estimated at around 5.9 million kilowatt hours. This corresponds to the energy requirement of over 2300 average households. Another goal is to replace the Nonner Steg that is already in need of renovation. This new building will extend directly over the power plant and the Nonner ramp. In addition, the Traunstein Water Management Office plans to improve water ecology and install a side waters in the banks of the hall.
comprehensive information is offered on the information evening. Visitors have the opportunity to find out more about various aspects of the project at various information stands. Experts are on site to answer questions and give detailed insights into topics such as fish protection, nature conservation and groundwater management. These events are an excellent opportunity for the citizens to actively participate in the discussion and to discuss their concerns directly with those responsible.
The meeting goes beyond a conventional information event. It is an expression of the desire to include the citizens from the start into the planning processes and to collect concerns or suggestions. This participation is particularly important in a context in which the energy transition is not only a technical but also a social challenge. The dialogue between project providers and citizens could make a decisive contribution to promoting the acceptance of such projects in the population.
