Bavaria did it! The Free State was named one of the best travel destinations for 2025 by the renowned travel guide “Lonely Planet”. In the latest edition of the “Best in Travel” travel guide, Bavaria is recommended as an absolute must for travelers in the “Top 10 Regions” category. The mix of “hip modernity and upheld traditions” makes Bavaria a unique experience that shouldn’t be missed!

One of the standout highlights that Lonely Planet praises is the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, a masterpiece of King Ludwig II that looks like something out of a storybook. The traditional beer gardens, which embody the authentic Bavarian lifestyle, as well as the world-famous Oktoberfest are also highlighted as cultural fixtures.
