Fatal accident on state road 2181: Ms. dies in collision

On January 13, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on state road 2181 between Bayreuth and Weidenberg. According to initial information, the accident took place around 5 p.m. and was due to a driving error from a 73-year-old woman from the Bayreuth district. In a right curve, this got left into oncoming traffic.

The collision led to two other vehicles: First, the woman crashed into an Opel with her Kia, who was driven by a 47-year-old woman. This was traveling with her nine and eleven -year -old children. After the first collision there was another collision with an Audi, in which a 62-year-old driver and a 60-year-old passenger sat.

The total loss of the accident is estimated at around 60,000 euros, since the vehicles involved were no longer ready to drive.
