A young woman overturned while another driver crashed into a traffic sign. Both were injured to a hospital. In Stötten am Auerberg, Ostallgäu, three more accidents occurred within a few minutes, with a driver crashing against the guardrail and passing two other similar incidents. One person was slightly injured.

The evening before, there were over 25 accidents due to smoothness in which at least seven people were injured. In another incident, a tree fell on a parked car under snow load, but the driver was not injured. In the Fürth district, there was also a risk of a tree when a tree fell on a street, with two drivers driving into the treetop and fortunately remained unharmed.

In the Bamberg district, there were several fallen trees, some of which blocked the railway tracks towards Nuremberg. In Höchstadt, a large construction site tent was thrown onto the A3 motorway by strong gusts of wind, which led to a full closure in both directions. This was lifted again shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday evening after a massive backlog was created. In total, there was damage of up to 400,000 euros, since four cars and a tractor -trailer were damaged through the tent.

Over 30 storm -related missions were registered by the Middle Franconia police on Thursday between 4:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. In addition, a maypole and several trees and a scaffolding fell over in Veitsbronn. In Upper Franconia, more than 50 storm damage, mainly by fallen trees, were recorded. The DWD has also predicted new snow for the coming nights in the low mountain ranges, while on the Alps with up to 10 cm of fresh snow.
