Haßfurt Christmas market: police in direct citizen dialogue on the road!

On Thursday there was great excitement on the Haßfurt marketplace: Many passers -by were amazed at the pronounced police presence. The occasion? The Bavarian police again carried out the successful “Coffee With A COP” prevention event. With a cup of coffee or a hot chocolate, citizens were able to talk to the officials in a relaxed framework. Police department head Detlef Hauck emphasized: "It is important for us to find out what the population is concerned with." Young people in particular had the opportunity to find out more about the police profession, and the 13-year-old Diego Richter expressed the desire to become a police officer to do good and help others, as well as on mainpost was reported.

A new leader for inspection

The Haßfurt police inspection has a new manager. The Lower Franconian police vice president Holger Baumbach passed on Wednesday morning, the previous head of office Daniel Müller, who moved to the riot police in Bamberg. Detlef Hauck, who took over the management on September 1, will be the new head of the inspection. Hauck is closely linked to the region: he started training at PI Haßfurt in 1988. Police Vice President Baumbach praised Hauck's extensive experience and announced that in this position he was once again "an ideal occupation for the region", as was reported in the Bavaria Press Portal.

An additional topic that the police spoke during the event was the grandchildren's trick fraud that concerned many citizens. Police chief Franziska Reitz pointed out that in such cases it was important to end the conversation immediately and report possible attempts at fraud of the police. The police particularly encourage seniors not to hand over money to unknown people. These preventive measures are important in order to increase security in the region and do not give fraudsters.
