Great restructuring: Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen gets a new dean's office!
In a significant step towards restructuring the church administration, the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, as part of their dean's reform, reduced forty existing dean's offices to just eighteen. This measure aims to make church work more efficient and better use resources. In this context, the Deanery Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen was re-established, with pastor Thomas Neuberger being appointed to the top. Together with his colleagues, he was introduced to his new office by Cardinal Reinhard Marx in the Munich love woman.
The official establishment of the new deanery took place in a solemn service in the monastery church of the Assumption of the Himmelfare into Dietramszell. Auxiliary Bishop Rupert Graf zu Stolberg took over the management of the ceremony and underlined the importance of this reform. He emphasized that it was time not only to create organizational structures, but also to promote living communities.
networking for future challenges
The auxiliary bishop noted that the regional reform has already initiated political changes over fifty years ago and that the church is now taking a similar step. "We have to look outside the box," emphasized Stolberg. He found that it was not just about improving the numbers, but also to inspire and announce the faith. This requires active participation in various areas such as youth work, schools and care to create added value for the community.
"Paper is patient, it is now up to us to fulfill everything with life. We are the living stones of the church," said Stolberg. This statement sums up the core of the challenge: the church community must actively take care of people and offer them a perspective. The dean's reform is intended to find new ways to improve the pastoral offer and at the same time respect the existing parish associations and individual parishes.
The deanery team and its tasks
In the new Deanery Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, a team of various pastors and experts will take over the management. In addition to Dean Thomas Neuberger, the important actors also include his deputy pastor Andreas Vogelmeier and various pastoral speakers, including Julia Majores, Lukas Sontheim, Andreas Faller and Reiner Pittingger. These will be responsible for promoting the cooperation between the parishes and coordinating the pastoral work at an overall level.
District Administrator Josef Niedermaier, who also spoke at the establishment ceremony, paid tribute to the importance of this reform and recalled that the 1970 area reform already had similar changes. His transfer performance on the name of the new dean's office, to name it "Isar-Loisach-Deanat", was very well received and spontaneous approval in the audience. Nevertheless, Dean Neuberger emphasized that the name was ultimately irrelevant as long as the changes show positive effects. "The main thing is that it will be good," he summarized the essence of change.
A central element of this process is the relic of St. Korbinian, which was present during the service. Korbinian, who is the first Bishop of Freising, stands for the living transfer of faith. The relic is celebrated during the 1300th anniversary of his diocese and is reminiscent of the tradition and roots of faith in the region.
