Large exercise in Schardra: 120 firefighters master tricky scenarios!
Large exercise in Schardra: 120 firefighters master tricky scenarios!
Last Saturday, October 5, there was an extensive and impressive fire service exercise in the municipal area. Over 120 emergency services, including various fire departments from the Bad Brückenau region and units of the emergency services, worked together on a realistic scenario. This exercise was organized by the fire brigade Schardra, led by Bastian Markert and Johannes Schmitt, who provided a smooth process with a lot of commitment and dedication.
The participating fire brigades came from several surrounding towns, including Schondra, Oberleichtersbach, Unterleichtersbach, Breitenbach/Mithgenfeld, Bad Brückenau, Geroda/Platz, Eckarts, Rupboden, Zeitlofs and Wildflecken. The exercises were divided into four trains, with a local group of helper and rescue vehicles from the Bavarian Red Cross from Bad Brückenau and RKT e.V. from Oberthulba.
focus on practical exercise scenarios
A central element of this training measure was the specially set up exercise control center, which played a central role in coordinating the emergency services. This position quickly reacted to various challenges and steered the individual fire brigade trains to the respective stations, which contributed to a structured and targeted course of the exercise.
The exercise included five different scenarios, each of which required specific skills and knowledge. A particularly great value was placed on the training of basic skills. This included techniques for dealing with breathing apparatus, the construction of effective water supply systems and the communication between the various emergency services. The aim was to consolidate and further develop both the advanced methods of use and the basic fire engineering techniques.
variety of exercise scenarios
At the first station, an ABC use was simulated, which dealt with the quick and effective rescue of an unconscious employee who was injured by a caustic lye. The professional decontamination and medical care was of the greatest importance here.
The second station presented the emergency services in front of a technical rescue task: one person had to be saved from a two -level high shaft after suffering a medical emergency there. This demanding task required precise coordination between the fire brigade and the emergency services.
The third station was particularly challenging when a apartment fire was simulated, triggered by a smoke detector. It was important to save several people under respiratory protection and then to provide them with medically. The dense smoke development and the difficult view resulted in the respiratory protection wearers to demonstrate their skills, which they mastered with flying colors.
A serious work accident was practiced at the fourth station: one person was trapped under a fully loaded container. Here it was crucial to use the correct technical device with precision to safely free the person concerned.
At the last station, the emergency services faced the challenge of a simulated room fire. Here, several performers were saved via a turntable ladder, and access to the building with break tools had to be enabled. A respiratory protection emergency was also successfully tackled, which made the versatility of the trained forces clear.
appreciation for organization and emergency services
The organizers of the exercise expressed themselves very positively about the course and the performance of the participants. Bastian Markert said: "The exercise went smoothly and showed how well the individual fire brigades work together and how high their level of knowledge is." Special thanks went to the instructors and actors, whose support made a decisive contribution to the success of the exercise.
A field kitchen, which was supported as part of a major exercise in the Bad Kissingen district, provided physical well -being during the exercise. This measure was highly valued by the participants. The firefighters and rescue workers rated the day as successful and expressed the desire to repeat this type of exercise next year, which reinforces the positive impression of the event.
Overall, the successful implementation of this exercise illustrated the need for close cooperation and thorough preparation in order to be able to react quickly and efficiently in an emergency, as reports www.fraenkischerag.de .
