Train failures between Augsburg and Donauwörth: Replacement buses in use!

Red for commuters! From November 21 to December 1st, the train connection between Donauwörth and Augsburg is massively affected. It becomes particularly dramatic on the weekend of November 23 and 24 when the entire route is blocked. The reason for this is urgently needed renewal work on the overhead line in Mertingen, as the Arverio Bayern railway company announced. The lines RE80, RE89, RB89 and RB87 - a nightmare for all travelers are affected!

Replacement traffic for commuters

To cushion the massive train failures, Arverio has organized a replacement of rails. On the affected days, a replacement bus will go from Augsburg to Donauwörth between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. every half hour-a rescue for many travelers! The bus always leaves Augsburg at 10 and 40 after the full hour. After 10.10 p.m. the bus will only be traveling every hour. In the opposite direction, from Donauwörth to Augsburg, the bus also runs regularly, always around 30 and in addition every two hours by 5 minutes after the full hour.
