Restart for collaboration: Ulm/Neu-Ulm together strengthen the economy!
Neu-Ulm, Deutschland - The IHK working group Ulm/Neu-Ulm, an outstanding cooperation between the chambers of industry and trade from Ulm and Swabia, begins its new election period until 2028. In a opening session, led by Gerd Stiefel and Dr. Jan Stefan Roell, the focus was clearly on a closer border cooperation. "Our economic region only works through the close cooperation between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria," emphasized Roell, whereby the goal is to actively develop the common economic area and to improve the framework conditions for local companies, such as Ulm-news reported.
core projects and strategies
In the working group, 22 company representatives are committed, with the chair and management between the IHKs. The working group has already determined central issues such as transport, logistics, regional marketing and securing skilled workers. In particular, the modernization of the railway line between Ulm and Augsburg and the implementation of road projects should promote local mobility. In addition, common strategies should position the economic area as an attractive location. A special highlight is the Cooperation Center Transport and Logistics (KVL) in Neu-Ulm, which bundles the joint initiatives in order to develop pragmatic solutions for the regional economy, as well as on the website of the city
With a view to future challenges, such as the State Garden Show 2030, the working group is planning to treat topics such as living space strategies and the integration of start-ups more intensively. Dr. Roell summed up: "With this restart, we set a strong signal for the importance of cooperation between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria-and for the companies that benefit from this collaboration." The clear message is that a strong and innovative economic region is formed through determined cooperation.
