DJK Vilzing is subject to Swabia 0: 4 - relegation battle threatens!

A shocking debacle for the DJK Vilzing! After a promising away win against Türkgücü Munich a week ago, Josef Eibl's team experienced a bitter defeat on Saturday afternoon in the regional league home game against the promoted Swabian Augsburg. In front of 675 disappointed spectators, the result fell 0: 4 and the Vilzinger are still deep in the table cellar.

The first half started with an excitement: Bastian Kurz already missed a great chance for the guests in the 18th minute. But 20 minutes later it was Jonas Greppmeir who scored 1-0 for Augsburg after a dream pass (38th). A catastrophic ball loss in the midfield of the DJK led to this deficit. Only four minutes later it came even worse: a misunderstanding in the defense of the Vilzinger made sure that Greppmeir fought the ball into the net and scored 2-0 (43.). There was hardly anything to see from Vilzing in the first half.

Greppmeir shines with a triple pack

Even after the half -time break, the Swabians dominated the action. In the 59th minute, Greppmeir made the lid on the game with a precise shot. The next shock for the hosts followed only six minutes later: Greppmeir scored his third goal (65th) with a brilliant lupfer over DJK keeper Max Putz and sealed the debacle for Vilzing. A crossbar from Lukas Dotzler shortly before the end was the only ray of hope for the DJK, which was hardly dangerous in the second round.
