Discover diversity: Sails of diversity bring joy into the classroom!

in Ansbach, The "Sailors of Diversity" roles at day care centers and primary schools! These lively cases are not only filled with exciting books, but also open the doors to different cultures and ways of life. They specially put together the equality center and the municipal youth work of the district to raise awareness of tolerance and diversity in early childhood education. "We want to bring the world closer to the children in all their diversity," explains Tanja Peipp, the equal opportunities officer.

The suitcases are an exciting opportunity for children to treat each other with respect and develop empathy. So far, 24 daycare centers and primary schools have used the opportunity to borrow the suitcases for four weeks, and everything is done to continue the trip. "Now we are expanding the suitcases with new books that deal with the topic of body awareness, such as 'everyone has a butt'. These titles promote the self -acceptance of the children and strengthen their self -confidence," says Elke Wenk from local youth work.
