Woman with a 2.4 per thousand causes accident: truck barely missed!

A violent traffic accident occurred on Thursday evening, October 10th, on the AS 6 district road, which runs between Eschenfelden and Hirschbach. Shortly after 8 p.m., a 45-year-old woman from the Amberg-Sulzbach district drove on this street when, after an elongated right-hand bend, she came off her lane and got on oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, a truck with a trailer came on the opposite track at this moment.

The woman could no longer react in time and grazed the truck trailer with her car. There was considerable damage to property on both vehicles, which is moving in the four -digit range. While the truck driver was unharmed, the person who caused the accident suffered slight cuts due to a crushed window.

alcohol at the wheel

As chance wanted, the officers of the Auerbach police inspection noticed a strong smell of alcohol among the 45-year-old during the accident. A breath alcohol test, which was carried out, resulted in an alarming value of 2.4 per thousand. This high alcoholization led the police to order a blood sample immediately to determine the alcohol content.

Due to the incident, the woman not only faces the responsibility for the accident, but also has to expect criminal proceedings due to the endangerment of road traffic as a result of drunkness. Your driver's license was ensured on site, which means that she is no longer allowed to drive.

The fire brigade from eighth was also on site to secure the scene of the accident and to clear the debris parts from the road. Such operations are not only important for security, but also for the fastest possible restoration of the traffic conditions.

This incident once again reminds of the dangers that can arise from alcohol at the wheel. The decision to drive alcohol under the influence of alcohol endangers not only your own life, but also the life of other road users.
